Waluigi is my special interest!! Oddly specific, I know, anyways... he's my #1 favourite character !!
How long have I been interested in Waluigi?
Since late 2018, I genuinely have no idea when or how my obsession
started but, what I am thankful for is the fact it happened at all!!!
As a kid I was never really that into Mario games, actually I was more of a Luigi fan myself back then... lol
But into the late 2010s, when Waluigi started to become more talked about as a meme...
I found myself liking the memes and jokes at first, and then one day it randomly clicked in my brain that I really like him a lot, genuinely.
And that is how my decent into madness began.
Fast forward 5 years from 2018 to today, I've created hundreds of drawings of Waluigi, thousands even, made dozens of designs, thought of many detailed headcanons and stories, collected tons of items relating to him, and have become a better and more skilled person in general, all thanks to Waluigi. I mean that seriously, by the way.
Waluigi means a lot to me on a very personal level.
For me, Waluigi is a source of inspiration, an artistic muse and a comfort character.
I know that sounds a bit silly, but hear me out;
Waluigi gives me a LOT of inspiration, he's got so much charm and character as a goofy and wacky mischief maker, an arrogant cheater who's always looking to get the edge on everyone and a hopeless romantic who puts style over everything else.
But, he's also a little bit of a blank slate in a way, there's just enough that we don't know about him, where imagination can run wild.
You can do just about anything with him and it would work, and that is one reason he gives me so many ideas.
He's also just, a really fun character to draw! I think he translates super well into my style!
That fun helps my imagination even more, I want to come up with things because it's just really fun to draw them.
It fills me with joy to share my passion for Waluigi with the world, and it makes me so happy when others begin to see how cool Waluigi is thanks to my dedication and passion.
Waluigi as a comfort character has helped me get through some of the most difficult times of my life.
If I didn't have him, I don't know what I would be doing with myself, would I even still be here?
It's hard to tell at this point, I've been obsessed with him for so long that I actually can't remember what my life was like without him anymore.
